SERVICE INFORMATION
The "D" pillar weatherstrip may become loose on some vehicles, due to insufficient adhesive.
This Service Bulletin describes how to resecure the weatherstrip to the "D" pillar trim cover.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the 4 screws securing the "D" pillar trim cover. Remove the trim cover from the body by sliding it toward the rear.
USE CARE WHEN REMOVING THE TRIM COVER, TO PREVENT DAMAGING THE RETAINER CLIPS.
a.
If the retainers are inadvertently removed from the trim cover, use ThreeBond 1797 primer and ThreeBond 1741E instant adhesive to secure them
to the trim cover, following the manufacturer's instructions.

b.
If the retainer clips remain in the body, remove and reinstall them into the retainers in the trim cover.
2.
Remove the weatherstrip from the trim cover.
3.
Prepare the weatherstrip for reinstallation as follows:
a.
Clean any dirt from the weatherstrip.
b.
Apply ThreeBond 1797 primer (or equivalent) to the inside surface of the weatherstrip.
